Preparation and perspiration, two words describing your sport and my job. As a USA Triathlon coach, I am certified to get you to that finish line; it won’t be easy, it won’t be overnight, but it will be one of the best experiences of your life. My name is Clark De Bevoise and I’ll be your friend, your enemy, and your confidant; but most of all I’ll be your coach.

Spanning 10 years from the amateur level to the professional level I leverage personal experience, education, and specialized training to bring a targeted, consistent, and goal oriented training strategy to get you through the miles and the hours to that finish line. From 5k to a full marathon I will be there to plan, analyze, and interpret every step to maximize your athletic potential.

Your success is my priority; through dedication and hard work you will find success no matter the course, no matter the distance, and no matter the continent.

Fun facts about me:

- I have lived all across the globe including six months in Petén, Guatemala and three years in St. George’s, Grenada.

- My top three places I’d like to travel include Africa, Australia, and India

- If I weren’t involved in triathlon I would be riding horses as I did growing up or according to my six-year-old self, be a British spy and astronaut.

I am passionate about maintaining good health and wellbeing through a whole food approach to nutrition, regular exercise, and a focus on optimising lifestyle factors that influence our ability to cope with the demands of everyday life. I am a Registered Nutritionist and Senior Lecturer in Public Health Nutrition and Sports Performance Nutrition at AUT University in Auckland, New Zealand.

I have been a vocal advocate of good health and nutrition my whole life. In recent years I have adopted a 'real food' approach to eating and living, focusing on fresh, minimally processed food that is quick to prepare and super tasty.

My other great love is running. I have been an endurance athlete since my early years at University, reaching national level success, particularly in the marathon, running a sub-three hour marathon and regularly training and racing in endurance running and triathlon events in New Zealand and overseas. These days I take a more relaxed approach to training and racing but you will still find me out running most mornings.

I am a vocal blogger and Facebook advocate and have worked with many top level triathletes, endurance athletes and media personalities, either to optimize their athletic performance or simply assist them to maintain a better approach to nutrition. You may have heard my many musings on Fitter Radio. My good friend and colleague Bevan McKinnon and I host a regular podcast, interviewing professional athletes and health and nutrition experts and generally espousing our opinions on all things sport and nutrition.

Take a look at my services. I can offer assistance to a wide range of people from corporates, elite level sports people and media personalities, to anyone looking to improve their lifestyle through healthy eating and living. This extends to people experiencing fatigue, digestive health, reduced energy level, unwanted weight gain, cholesterol and blood sugar dysregulation or general poor health. I'm looking forward to working with you!

Italian Velo Tours founder and tour leader

"Italian VeloTours" was created after years of experience on the roads, working as "Turbolento Bike & Run Club" in Milan, Italy. Having gained considerable knowledge of the Italian ‘quiet roads’ - LE STRADE ZITTE, they decided to step up and  use their  passion to provide cyclists with the most stimulating and scenic trips through Italy’s country roads.

As founders and trip designers, "Italian VeloTours" is not only about experienced cyclists. Professional photographers and authors collaborate also, writing many cycle touring guides. With a shared passion for both cycling and Italian landscape, they have explored and logged miles of unknown roads - experiencing trips to wonderful places, beautiful views and welcoming people. From rivers, valleys and farms, to hidden-away hotels and charming trattorias – visitors that book with them can enjoy the hospitality, relax and soak up the atmosphere.

Book a trip with "Italian Velo Tours" means explore the authentic Italy in safety: they always provide a minivan and highly experienced tour guides support, taking care of the different groups' needs allowing conversation and appreciation of the surrounding scenery during the rides. They encourage every kind of athletes to try their tours, adjusting the range distances (about 50 miles per day) and the level of difficulty of each tour provided.
